Senator Francis “Kiko” Pangilinan of the Liberal Party and a staunch opposition of the Duterte administration once again caught the ire of the social media netizens due to his controversial remark about the danger of Federalism and how it will bring the country to hell.

A Leap to Hell

According to the LP President, the proposed shift to Federalism is detrimental to the country for several reasons.

The biggest reason that he pointed out is that it will involve a lot of money for the implementation of the Federal system in the country, estimates given by NEDA Director General Pernia is at around 120 billion pesos.

Another reason he pointed out is that there is nothing wrong with the current 1987 constitution and remains to be the best despite its imperfections.

Unhealthy Reminders From Netizens

Supporters of President Duterte didn’t waste any time and immediately retaliated and reminded the senator that for more than 30 years, the Liberal Party have controlled the Philippines, which became one of the most corrupt nations not only in Asia but in the world.

They reminded him that it is the party that he is currently serving as president that brought the country to hell for more than 3 decades.
