Marriage Proposal Gone Wrong, Saudi Prince Orders Arrest Of This Filipino Couple For Violating A Law

Nowadays, most people are so addicted to social media that they tend to post every happening in their lives. Some do it to inspire others while some just for the sake of it.

It is also very common today where you see couples posting their #relationshipgoals. Men proposing marriage to their woman in a public place where anyone could see. It's like they want the whole world to know their love for each other, a very sweet gesture indeed.

Just like this couple who went viral online where the man publicly proposed marriage to his woman. However, their supposedly surprising, unforgettable-best-day-of-their-lives wedding proposal went into disaster when Prince Khalid Al-Faisal, Emir of Makkah, ordered their immediate arrest.

In the video, it can be seen that a man is gracefully dancing in front of Jeddah Corniche. It was a part of his surprise wedding proposal to his girlfriend. After dancing, the man went to his girl, affectionately hugged and kissed her,  kneel on the ground and proposed marriage.

His Highness Prince Khalid Al-Faisal, Emir of Makkah, ordered the immediate arrest of the couple who went viral online because they violated a law in Saudi Arabia.

According to the law of Saudi Arabia, public display of affection is highly prohibited, especially to an unmarried couple. And because of this violation, the couple are set to get arrested. It was reported that the couple is both Filipino. They haven't issued their side of the story yet.

There is nothing wrong with showing your love for each other to the whole world. Surprising your girlfriend in a public place, in fact, most people find it sweet and endearing. However, as sweet as it is, one should not forget to take precautions first before doing anything, especially if you're out of the country.

What happened to the couple is a lesson to everyone.
